In the ending of Oppenheimer, Teller once again shakes Oppenheimer's hand at the ceremony of Oppenheimer's Enrico Fermi Award. Oppenheimer tells his wife, Kitty Oppenheimer, that they shook hands, to which Kitty is repulsed and screams that she would never shake the traitor's hand. Robert Oppenheimer's hearing, Edward Teller explained all of the problems surrounding Oppenheimer's leadership in The Manhattan Project, completely turning his back on his former friend and calling him a " security threat." Before leaving the meeting room, Teller reaches out his hand to Oppenheimer, and the two scientists shake hands. While the movie doesn't give many hints about what happened to Teller after the movie, he also earned a hyperbolic title of his own The Father of the Hydrogen Bomb.ĭuring J. Oppenheimer has a huge cast of real-life scientists, including Hungarian physicist Edward Teller, but what happens to Teller after the credits roll isn't quite clear. ![]()
